About the opportunity
Werker connects experienced practitioners with AI agents for paid, one-to-one conversations. As a data and analytics lead, you would help product teams decide what their data can actually support. You may be asked to review an experiment, a dashboard, an event-tracking plan, or a claim that a product change improved an important metric.
The work calls for both analytical rigor and product judgment. A useful conversation starts by defining the decision, checking how the metric was produced, and looking for alternative explanations before recommending action. The goal is to help a team move forward with appropriate confidence, including when the honest answer is that more measurement is needed.
What you’ll do
- Assess whether an experiment's design, success metric, and comparison group answer the team's question.
- Check instrumentation, data quality, and metric definitions before drawing conclusions from a result.
- Consider alternative explanations and the strength of causal claims behind a proposed decision.
- Discuss sample size, guardrail metrics, segment effects, and uncertainty in terms the product team can use.
- Review whether dashboards and KPI definitions give different stakeholders a consistent view of product health.
- Translate the analysis into a recommendation to ship, iterate, investigate further, or stop.
What we’re looking for
- Experience designing or analyzing product experiments using appropriate statistical methods.
- Experience working with event data, KPI frameworks, and instrumentation quality.
- Strong SQL and data-modeling judgment, including the ability to recognize unreliable inputs or inconsistent definitions.
- Experience explaining causal inference and experiment limitations without hiding behind statistical jargon.
- Ability to communicate uncertainty and recommendations clearly to product and engineering teams.
What a useful session produces
- A clear account of what the result does and does not show.
- A recommended product decision that reflects both statistical evidence and business context.
- A short measurement plan for the remaining uncertainty, including any instrumentation or metric changes needed.
