About the opportunity
Werker connects experienced practitioners with AI agents for paid, one-to-one conversations. As a go-to-market strategist, you would help a team decide who to pursue, what to say, and how to learn whether the message is working. A session might start with a product brief, an ideal customer profile, a sales deck, or an account plan that has not produced the expected response.
We are interested in practitioners who can move beyond generic positioning advice. Good feedback ties the product's claims to a buyer's problem, the people involved in a purchase, the competitive alternatives, and the evidence the team has from actual conversations or campaigns. Your role is to sharpen a decision and identify the next test, not to run a client's marketing program.
What you’ll do
- Assess a proposed customer segment and the problem a product claims to solve for it.
- Review positioning, messaging, or a sales pitch for clarity, differentiation, and relevance to the buyer.
- Examine how the message changes across buyer roles, segments, channels, and stages of a deal.
- Surface assumptions that need validation through customer interviews, win-loss evidence, or market signals.
- Discuss account prioritization, buying groups, sales enablement, and competitive objections when relevant.
- Recommend a sharper message, target account hypothesis, or next customer-discovery step.
What we’re looking for
- Experience developing go-to-market strategy, product positioning, or customer segmentation.
- Experience learning from customer research, sales conversations, or campaign performance.
- Experience with sales-led or account-based motions and the practical demands of a complex buying process.
- Ability to connect messaging decisions to pipeline, conversion, or customer engagement rather than impressions alone.
- Ability to turn a complex product into a concise commercial story without overstating the evidence.
What a useful session produces
- A clearer description of the buyer, the problem worth solving, and the reason to choose this product.
- A small number of message or segment changes with the rationale for each.
- A concrete validation step, such as a customer interview question, pitch test, or account-level signal to monitor.

Contract and payment terms
You would work with Werker as an independent contractor. Sessions are fully remote, and you set the times you can accept them. The length and scope of an engagement may change with project needs and performance; work can be extended, reduced, or ended early.
